Architectural project planning and specification process

How We Work

The Process Behind Every Project.

We partner with architects, builders, and installers from early design through fabrication, delivery, and project support, helping every project move forward with confidence.

Our Process

A Collaborative Process,
Every Step Accounted For

From initial consultation to project completion, we follow a proven process that ensures quality, consistency, and reliable outcomes.

1

Enquire

Send drawings, programme, and finish requirements.

2

Detail

Shop drawings, finish samples, and documentation are developed against spec.

3

Engineer

Structural certification, heat-soak, and testing are coordinated where required.

4

Fabricate

Components are manufactured to tolerance and packed to the install sequence.

5

Deliver

Materials arrive palletised, labelled, documented, and ready for site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers Before You Even Have To Ask

A frameless glass balustrade (like Modolux Edge) uses structural glass with no visible vertical frame and minimal top rail. Held by a channel or spigot fixings they offer predominantly uninterrupted sightline. A semi-frameless system (like Modolux Axis) uses a minimal frame or fixing profiles with glass infills, typically at a lower cost, while keeping most of the open, glass-forward look. Both are engineered to the same structural and safety standards — the choice usually comes down to budget, loading conditions, and how much visual transparency the project needs.

Yes. AS/NZS 2208 is the Australian/New Zealand standard governing safety glazing materials used in buildings, including balustrades, and our glass balustrade systems are engineered to exceed it. Compliance documentation is provided with every order so are ready for sign off before they commence onsite.

AS 1170 is the Australian Standard covering structural design actions — wind loads and other loading conditions a building element needs to withstand. For architectural aluminium and glass systems such as balustrades and screens, AS 1170 compliance confirms the system has been engineered to perform safely under the loading conditions relevant to its location and height.

Our frameless and semi-frameless glass balustrade systems use safety glazing engineered to AS/NZS 2208, which covers pool fencing and other safety-critical glazing applications.

Modolux aluminium systems are available in a range of powder-coat and timber look, with custom colour matching available on request. Every finish is backed by our 15-year coating warranty. Finish samples can be requested during specification so the exact colour and texture can be confirmed before ordering.
